Welcome to last week of Term 2!  

PUPIL OF THE WEEK

Each week, all Foundation classes will celebrate one student from each class who is their Pupil of the Week. Congratulations to the following students:

HOLIDAY HOMEWORK

Over the holidays, it is important to continue daily reading with your child. In addition to their readers, your child will bring home some holiday homework to practice. This includes some tricky words to practice reading and writing as well as some handwriting practice. We appreciate your support with continuing your child’s learning over the break. 

GOALS 

Updated goal comments will be available to view this Friday 26th. Please have a read over your child’s comments on PAM. New goals will be set during Term 3 Goal setting meetings.

Please note that this Friday 26th school will finish early at 2.30. 

FOUNDATION LEARNING FOCUS

Literacy 

Students are learning about: 

• The letters and sounds ‘l’ ‘k’ ‘b’ ‘u’ 
• Reading and writing CVC words and sentences 
• Identifying words and letters 
• Reading and writing tricky words 'he’ ‘she’ ‘me’ ‘be’ ‘we’ ‘has’ ‘were’ ‘look ‘one’ 
• While writing, the students are learning about reports and learning to use connector words  

Mathematics 

Students are learning about: 

• Shape- Identify, sort and describe shapes using their features.  

ART

This week in Art, Foundation students created rainbow characters! They traced the outlines with paint sticks and looked at how the shape changed as it grew.
