Liturgical Calendar

Matthew 10:26-33 

In this Gospel, Jesus encourages His disciples not to be afraid and to place their trust in God. He reminds them that not even two sparrows, sold for only a small coin, are forgotten by God. If God cares so deeply for the sparrows, how much more does He care for each one of us. Jesus teaches that we are precious in God's eyes and that He knows us completely, even the number of hairs on our heads. He calls His followers to be courageous in sharing their faith and standing up for what is right, confident that God's loving presence is always with them. 

REFLECTION PRAYER

Loving God, 

Thank You for reminding us that we are precious in Your eyes and 

that You care for each one of us. 

Help us to trust in Your love, 

especially when we feel worried, afraid, or unsure. 

Give us the courage to live as followers of Jesus each day. 

Help us to speak kindly, act justly, and stand up for what is right, 

knowing that You are always with us. 

May the students, staff, and families of St Liborius be filled with confidence 

in Your care and guided by Your presence in all that we do. 

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

TERM 2 STUDENT AWARDS 

At St Liborius, we celebrate students who demonstrate the characteristics of our founders. These awards are not just about what students do, but also about who they are and how they treat others. 

We are guided by our founders: Catherine McAuley, Mary MacKillop, and St Francis of Assisi, along with Henry Backhaus who helped build our local Catholic community. They showed kindness, courage, and care for others, and we try to follow their example every day at school.  

The recipient of the term 2 awards demonstrated the attributes shown by St Mary of the Cross MacKillop 

• Seeing a need and doing something about it. 
• Persistence with something, not giving up when a task gets hard.  
• Trying their best. 
• Taking on challenges  
• Love of learning  
• Compassion.
