From the Principal

Dear families,
As we come to the end of a busy and rewarding term, I warmly welcome our community to this final week. Our students have achieved so much over the past months, and there is truly much to celebrate. From their growth in learning to the way they care for one another and contribute to our school life, I am incredibly proud of all they have accomplished.
NEW WEBSITE LAUNCH
If you haven’t already had the chance, please take a moment to explore our brand new school website! It offers a dynamic, user-friendly window into our community, featuring the latest news, key information and upcoming events. Families can easily stay informed and even add events directly to their personal calendars, helping make organisation that little bit easier for busy households. Check it out and see what you think!
INTO THE DEEP PROGRAM
Last week, I spent time in Sydney as part of the Catholic Leadership Foundation’s “Into the Deep” program, alongside leaders from across Catholic ministries including Education, Healthcare, Outreach and Parish life. Our gathering at ACU and Mary MacKillop Place was a valuable opportunity to reflect on our shared mission. I felt very proud to share the story of our school and the way our culture is lived each day through the strength of our relationships - grounded in dignity, respect, belonging and a deep commitment to one another.
Together, we also deepened our understanding of how we can work collaboratively to enable our communities to live “life to the full”. The experience invited us to listen deeply and consider how we are called to lead a Spirit-led mission, encouraging one another to “go into the deep” with courage, faith and hope.
SEMESTER 1 REPORTS AND GOAL SETTING MEETINGS
This week, End of Semester Reports will be made available to families via PAM. I encourage you to take time to read these with your child, celebrating their growth and achievements, and discussing the opportunities ahead.
Our staff are very much looking forward to partnering with you at our Goal Setting Meetings at the beginning of Term 3, held on 21 and 22 July. These meetings are a valuable opportunity to reflect together and set meaningful learning goals for the semester ahead. Bookings will open this Friday, and we encourage all families to secure a time.
As we conclude the term, I extend my sincere thanks to our dedicated staff, generous volunteers, supportive families, and most especially our wonderful students. Your commitment, energy and spirit are what make our school such a vibrant and nurturing community.
I wish all of our families a safe, restful and well-deserved break, and look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed for Term 3.
With many blessings,
Alannah Darmody
