English

During Reconciliation Week, we explored the importance of building respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians. Through class discussions, students learned about the significance of reconciliation and how we can all contribute to a more inclusive and understanding community. Students decorated hand templates and reflected on ways they can "lend a hand" by showing kindness, respect, and support to others.

Religion

As part of our learning about Pentecost, students explored the story of the Holy Spirit descending upon the disciples and the meaning of Pentecost in the Catholic Church. To celebrate our successful school Mass, students created vibrant Pentecost flames and wrote a personal call to action inside each flame. These reflections encouraged students to think about how they can share God's love through their words and actions and make a positive difference in the world around them.

Maths

In Mathematics, students have been learning about 2D shapes and composite shapes. They investigated how smaller shapes can be combined to create larger, more complex designs. To showcase their understanding, students became shape designers and created their own composite shapes using a variety of 2D shapes.
