Performing Arts Showcase Photographs

As mentioned last week, our Performing Arts Showcase was a night to remember. We have received some of the photos back and are delighted to share them with you below. We hope you agree that they capture the determination, joy and talent that filled the hall on the night.

Eucalyptus 3

On Wednesday I had the pleasure of spending the day teaching Eucalyptus 3, a Year 4 class. I try to get back into the classroom at least twice a year and earlier this year I had the enjoyment of teaching Turtle 1, one of our Year 1 classes. These days are genuinely valuable for me as a principal. There is no better way to understand what is happening in our classrooms than to be in one. I want to acknowledge the enormous amount of work that goes into the teaching and learning programs our staff create. Teaching from them on Wednesday was a reminder of just how high the standard is across our school. Eucalyptus 3 were an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. Thank you for having me.

P&C events

What a week it has been for our P&C and school community. From the Father's Day breakfast last Friday to the canteen fun day today and the disco tonight, it has been a wonderful run of events that bring our community together. None of this happens without the generous time and effort of our volunteers, and we want to extend a big thank you to everyone who has helped out across these events. Our P&C are the driving force behind so much of what makes this school a special place and we are incredibly grateful for everything they do.

Year 6 camp

Best of luck to our Year 6 students who head off to Canberra on Wednesday for their end of year camp. Canberra is always a highlight for our Year 6 cohort and a fitting way to round out their primary school journey. We hope they have a wonderful few days, make great memories and come back with plenty of stories to share. Thank you as always to the staff who are giving up time away from their own families to make this experience possible.

Pedestrian safety

With building works currently underway next door to the school on the Pacific Highway, pedestrian conditions in the area have changed and families may notice some differences to their usual morning and afternoon routes. We ask that everyone allow a little extra time when travelling to and from school until the works are complete. Council have been made aware of the situation, and we are monitoring it closely. If your child is regularly brought to school by a grandparent or carer who may find the changed conditions more difficult to navigate, please make sure they are aware so they can plan ahead. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
