Year 12 Report

Dear parents and caregivers,
We are now at the bittersweet moment where we say goodbye to the wonderful cohort of 2026 as they finish up with their official classes at Mount Annan High School. It has been a busy term filled with many ‘lasts’ and we are sure that they have made memories to look back on fondly.
Spirit Week
One of the highlights was ‘Spirit Week’ where each day came with a new theme and a new costume. The week started with an array of Australian icons followed by a confusing Tuesday where students flipped the script and came dressed as a teacher. What they didn’t know was that the staff had plans of their own and dressed as students for the day - it really was a day for double takes! The week rounded off with Throwback Thursday where students came as a version of their younger selves before flashing forward to the future on Friday with their potential career aspirations. It was a fun and jovial week for everyone!
Final Assembly
As with tradition, we held our final assembly for the year group where we came together to reflect on the various excursions and activities throughout their time at Mount Annan High School. There was an amazing performance by Connor and Logan as well as inspiring words from the outgoing school captains, Emily and Max. The assembly ended with the walkthrough of the school grounds as parents/caregivers, staff and students formed the archway to lead our students out to the front of the school. The emotions were high but it was filled with joy, gratitude and a sense of accomplishment for the class of 2026.
As part of our school’s annual Year 12 Picnic Day, students also had the opportunity to come together one final time in a relaxed and celebratory setting. It was a wonderful chance for the class of 2026 to enjoy time with their friends, reflect on their high school journey and create lasting memories before moving into the next chapter of their lives.
There are only three major events left before our graduating class joins the alumni ranks of Mount Annan High School. The first event will be sitting their HSC examinations which start on Tuesday 13th October, Week 1, Term 4. We wish our students the very best of luck with their examinations and remind them that preparation will be key in the lead up. There will be an opportunity to celebrate reaching the end of this milestone with the Formal occurring on Tuesday 10th November at Macquarie Links International Golf Club from 6pm -10:30pm. We can’t wait to see everyone dressed to the nines! Our final celebration will be at the graduation ceremony on Thursday 12th November. All guests intending to attend should have already returned their RVSPs to Mr Murray in the Learning Centre.
We sincerely thank the 2026 class for leaving a legacy filled with laughter, kindness and camaraderie. We hope that they have enjoyed their final term at Mount Annan High School and are proud of their achievements.
