Stationery

In preparations for our school year, we hope that you have all received your stationery packs and ask that students bring them to school on the first day of term, Monday, January 29th. Could you please consider the following in regard to your child’s stationery:

Pens, lead and coloured pencils, textas, glue sticks, erasers, scissors and rulers – please label with your child’s name. This will ensure that all items of stationery that go astray, can be returned to your child. We want to ensure that all students have what they need every day to learn effectively and know that labelling makes a difference.

Exercise Books – Please leave as is because we have colour-coded covers with your child’s name on, that we will add to books with their plastic sleeves. This will all be done in class. Feel free to write your child’s name on the inside cover or on the front, just in case their covers are removed.

Headphones – please label these and if possible, place them in a plastic zip lock bag for storage to prevent tangled cords.  A label on the cord and headphones helps.

Clear Folders / Document Envelopes – please label as these will be used for a storing your child’s work in Art and Writer’s Workshop.

The stationery list suggests what is necessary for children to have at school. Please note that when children bring along special (and sometimes expensive) stationery items, they do so at their own risk.  Please also be in communication with your child to ensure they haven’t run out of stationery closer to the end of the year.

Please be aware that students won’t need their iPads on the first two days of the year and we encourage students not to bring them.

Camp

The Year 5/6 camp is in week 4 (Monday 19th – Wednesday 21st February). More information about this will be coming in the first week as well as at PIN night. We are looking for parent volunteers who have updated checks. Please email your child’s teacher if you are interested in being part of this experience.

PIN night is on Wednesday 7th February. Please mark this in your calendars as there will be essential information spoken about on this evening.

Please note that the following uniform should be worn on the following days:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday optional: Formal uniform

Tuesday, Thursday, Friday optional: PE uniform

We would really appreciate your help in supporting the students to be in the correct uniform each day. You might support your child with a list in their room or on the fridge to help them remember.

If you have any queries, do not hesitate to ask.   We can’t wait until Monday!
