Year 2/3 Cluster News Term 1 Week 1
Welcome to the new school year! We are excited to be working with every one of your children as we embark on this next exciting journey together.

Each day students need to bring the following.
- hats
- water bottles
- a fruit snack
- recess
- lunch
- take home bags
**Please label everything.**
We encourage the lunch box to include an ice pack as the boxes remain in bags during the day. We also ask that you send in ‘nude food’ which does not include wrappers, as we have found that many end up as rubbish around the school.
Stationery
With your child’s stationery year, we are asking if the following items can be labelled as followed:
- Coloured Pencils & Textas – please write your child’s name, on both boxes. This is so that one set can be used immediately in their pencil case, with the other stored for the second half of the year.
- Lead Pencils, Glue Sticks, Erasers & Rulers– please leave these items unlabelled as they will form part of a shared class supply.
- Exercise Books – please place the plastic sleeves on prior to the beginning of the new school year, we will have book cover labels which will be named and we will place inside of the plastic sleeves.
- Headphones – please label these and if possible, place them in a plastic zip lock bag for storage to prevent tangled cords.
- Clear Folders / Document Envelopes – please label as these will be used for a storing your child’s work in Art and Writer’s Workshop.
- Artline Markers, Pens & Scissors – please label these items.
This year all students in Year 2 will have a school issued pencil case, these will be kept at school with a supply of stationery items kept inside. The Year 1 students have a pencil case which has been send up from Foundation.
In Year 1/2 students will continue to use take home bags which are also Library Bags. Library lessons are on Wednesdays for Year 1/2Z and Thursdays for Year 1/2AK.
Please send stationery items to school by the end of Week 2.
