From the School Leadership Team

Welcome Back!

Welcome back to 2024. I hope that all of our families enjoyed their time over the holiday break.

A particularly warm welcome is extended to all of our new students and families who are joining our community this year. We look forward to all that you will bring to our school!

It has been fantastic to welcome everyone back as we have seen children and families around the school and in vacation care already and to see the children looking forward to the term ahead.

Strategic Plan

We have an exciting year ahead as we embark on the implementation of our new strategic plan. We are energised by our purpose to enrich the lives of children and each individual in our school community, and beyond the school environment. With a Christ- centred foundation, we foster an inclusive environment where everyone can belong, explore and thrive. Equally exciting are our new values - love, collaborate and explore, which will underpin all that we do, as well as our strategic priority areas of:

• Excellence and innovation in learning

• Well-being and culture

• Community and Partnerships

• School Development

GGOSH

Well done to Vicki Kahl and her team at GGOSH for the fantastic vacation care programme that many of our student enjoyed! It provided a great range of engaging opportunities within and outside of the school.

Beginning of the Year

We are certainly jumping straight into it with our teachers and teaching LSO's enjoying some excellent professional learning in the teaching of Mathematics this week as well as ongoing work on the PYP programme and student wellbeing.

Parent Lounge

We are excited that our new parent portal, Parent Lounge, will be launched next week. This is a great way to be able to check that your contact details and your child's medical details are up to date, as well as to be able to view the school calendar.

Once it has been released an email with login information will be sent.

Well done to Ruby Georg who received a medallion for her outstanding entry in the Governor’s Civics Awards from Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC at the Proclamation Day Ceremony on 28 December . Ruby also enjoyed seeing the Deputy Premier, Susan Close, again - whom she interviewed earlier in the year for her Exhibition project!
