Welcome to the 2024 school year at Banyan Fields Primary School. I am very excited for the school year ahead. This weeks edition of The Banyan Bullettin will be brief but please keep an eye out next week for a much more detailed newsletter. I would like to extend a very special warm welcome to our Foundation students who are settling into learning and life with us at Banyan Fields. I am so proud to see them getting used to the surroundings of thier classroom and the playground, forming friendships and making the most of the activites happening throughout the day. Starting school is a big milestone and I would also like to acknowledge the support of families who are supporting their children to begin school. Thank you for choosing Banyan Fields PS, I am really looking forward to working in partnership with you.

The flyer below is for our Tabloid Sports evening that will be held from 5.30pm on Thursday 22 February. I would love to see as many families as possible come along and enjoy the fun. This will be a great opportuity to connect as a whole school community, meet and greet new and old faces as well as students and grown ups participting in various tabloid sport events. Bring along a picnic rug and dinner to make a night of it.

I have included some information later in the newsletter about the School Council Election process for 2024. There are vacancies for both parent and staff positions on our school council. I would like to encourage any parents or staff who may be interested in nominating for School Council to collect a nomination form from our office before Monday 19 February which is when nominations close.
