Year 6 School Camp

On Wednesday, 7 February our Year 6 Team ventured to Phillip Island for an incredible adventure. We all arrived excitedly at school and a little bit nervous as we boarded the bus. We stopped at San Remo for lunch and to watch the pelican feeding. It was funny seeing their big beaks and the way they gobbled up the fish.

We finally arrived at The Island Camp and made our way to our first activities. The go karts were awesome fun and so was the Giant Swing. We all screamed and enjoyed the thrill of the challenge. Other activities included archery, initiatives course, rock climbing, mini golf and the stand up paddle boarding. Everyone loved the paddle boarding which was so much fun. There was plenty of food and we certainly didn't go hungry. We even had dessert and supper each night.

Another highlight was the penguin parade and seeing all those little fairy penguins swim onto the sand and make their way back to their burrows.

The accommodation was beautiful, we had our own ensuites and shared a room with 5 - 6 of our friends.

Going on camp helped us to be independant, try new activities and have some great expereinecs with our teachers and friends. We made memories that will last a lifetime.

Thank-you to Mrs Bayliss, Mrs Farrar, Kristin and Mrs Gridley for supporting, encouraging and helping us all to have such a fantastic experience at Camp!
