Prep Teacher Cara Woolley

Hello, my name is Cara. I have proudly obtained my Bachelor of Education (Primary) at Australian Catholic University. I have been teaching as a full time Prep teacher and Casual Relief Teacher for 3 years, this will be my first year teaching at St John’s Primary. I have a passion for teaching Prep and find it rewarding to see my students develop gradual independence and courage at school, especially as that looks different for each child. In my spare time I enjoy spending quality time with my loved ones and visiting the beach when it is hot. I also enjoy baking and trialing new recipes at home.

Yr 1/2B Anna Hendy and Nicole Webb

Anna and Nicole have both taught in Primary Education for over 15 years, teaching all primary levels from Prep to Year 6. They enjoy teaching all subject areas. Nicole has a particular interest in the teaching of English, whilst Anna enjoys teaching Maths. She is excited to be sharing her knowledge and expertise with the school community in her role as Maths Leader at St John’s.

Nicole’s hobbies include cooking and vegetable gardening and she loves to be able to share her interests with the students that she teaches. Anna enjoys reading and spending time with her family, riding bikes and going to the local cafe.

Anna and Nicole are excited to be sharing Yr 1/2B this year as they graduated Primary Education at ACU together in 2004.

Melissa Sedony

Hello St John's Community,

My name is Melissa Sedony and I will be working in 5/6C on Wednesdays.  I have been a 5/6 teacher for a number of years and feel very privileged to be able to work with these  students at this stage of their learning journey.  When I am not working, I am mum to two fabulous children, one of which is in Yr 12 this year.  I LOVE reading and anything to do with Japan, especially Studio Ghibli movies.
