SuperHack 2023

SuperHack is an annual weekend-long engineering hackathon for young female, non-binary and gender-diverse high school students in years 10 and 11, hosted by the Melbourne University Electrical Engineering Club (MUEEC). This year thirteen JMSS students took up the challenge of developing a brand new assistive technology using only the provided technology and tools, as well as their team work and ingenuity. After a crash course in the Arduino system and a brainstorming session they were off, with each group working together with their university mentors to design, build, program and present their unique solution.

Congratulations to all participants of the 2023 SuperHack competition, and a special congratulations to Janneke, Anvi and Jiyaa for taking out the "Most technically complex" award, each winning an Arduino kit to take home. Keep an eye out for the competition in 2024, no technical knowledge is required!
