Learning & Teaching

Learning together as one community

WELCOME BACK!

Welcome back to Term Three!

This term, our key concept is Sustainability, which students will explore through the lens of Biological and Earth & Space Sciences.

We’re excited to dive into this rich area of learning and can’t wait to share more with you as the term unfolds. Our Term Overviews will be sent home early next week - we're currently putting the finishing touches on them!

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Our Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place on Monday 28th July from 1:30pm and will be held online via Google Meet. These 10-minute conferences provide an opportunity to discuss your child’s Semester One Report and to set learning goals for Semester Two. Bookings for classroom teachers can be made via the nForma Parent Portal. Further information has been posted on Dojo and emailed to each family.

Our Year 5 & 6 students will lead Student-Led Conferences, with time provided for parent questions. Students may step out for this section if families prefer.

Students will be dismissed at 1:00pm on the day, and Extend will be available for families who require it.

Specialist Conferences:

  • Physical Education: Monday 28th July
  • Italian: Weeks 2 and 3 (afternoons)

Bookings for PE and Italian can be made via School Interviews:👉 https://www.schoolinterviews.com.au/code/smjbx

At this stage, we will not be holding conferences for Visual Arts and Performing Arts, as we welcome new staff to these roles. If families have questions, they are welcome to contact:

🎨 Ruby Lowe (Visual Arts) via Class Dojo

🎭 Josie Sproule-Carroll (Performing Arts) via Class Dojo

We look forward to connecting with you and continuing to support your child’s learning journey. If you are unable to attend at the scheduled time, please contact your child’s classroom teacher to organise an alternative, mutually agreeable time.
