Science

Our Earth and Space Science unit has drawn to a close with the end of term 2. It has been a fascinating and learning filled term!
Over the past few weeks students have been finishing up their content learning, reflecting on their knowledge and growing understandings about Earth and space from the term, researching some of their wonderings from the beginning of the term and sharing some of these with the class. It was great to see that some of our wonderings were answered by the content addressed in class over the term, whilst others we needed to research. There is so much more to learn, as we discovered, and our curiosity is wonderful!
We completed this unit with a fun, hands on exploration session this week, where students had the opportunity to select from a range of activities related to our Earth and Space theme located at various stations around the room. It was wonderful to observe the students so engaged and enjoying themselves as we celebrated our learning from the term!
Well done everyone on a fantastic term of learning in Science and enjoy the break!
Next term we dive into Biology – focusing on plants and animals. Looking forward to exploring this area of Science with everyone.
National Science Week is also next term. We will have some extra events happening at school as part of this week including a science incursion with Professor Bunsen and some fun science rotations in our house colours – stay tuned!
