St Mary's Faith & Family

Sacred Heart School Mass

The whole school joined with the parish community this Wed to celebrate the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus which was celebrated in the wider Church last Friday. Fr Wahid drew out attention to the  statue of Jesus in the Church. Jesus is pointing to his sacred heart, which is shown on the outside of his body, a symbol of how much he wants to share his love with everyone. He also pointed out the lovely stained glass windows which depicts the moment when Jesus appeared to St Margaret Mary in France in in 1673. Jesus showed her his sacred heart, a symbol of his burning love for humanity.

Mrs Cheesman along with several of the children led us beautifully in the singing.

Thanks to all who came along.

Our next whole school Mass will be the beginning of Term 3, Wed 23rd July at 9:15am.

All are most welcome to join us.
