Uniforms and Winter Weather
As the colder weather sets in, it’s important that students are dressed appropriately to stay warm throughout the day. We have noticed several students still wearing summer uniforms, such as shorts and short-sleeved shirts, and summer dresses layered with additional clothing underneath.
Please ensure your child is wearing the correct winter school uniform. Long pants and long-sleeved tops are available from the uniform shop. While school uniform must be worn during class time, jackets for outdoor use can be any colour.
Year 5 Camp
Congratulations to our Year 5 students for their outstanding behaviour during last week’s camp at Cottage by the Sea! Camp staff were full of praise for our students’ positive attitudes, teamwork, and willingness to participate in all activities.
A heartfelt thank you to the teachers and staff who organised and attended the camp, your planning and support made the experience a memorable one for all involved.
Well done, everyone!
Year 4 Day Excursion to Lady Northcote Camp
Despite the chilly weather, our Year 4 students had a fantastic time on their day trip to Lady Northcote Camp. They embraced a variety of adventure activities with great enthusiasm and energy. Photos will be shared shortly.
Year 2 Visit to Como House
Our Year 2 students took a step back in time with their excursion to the beautiful historic Como House. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to explore the past and connect with history in an engaging way.
Thank you to the staff who organised these enriching experiences, and to the parents who joined us to help make the excursions so successful.
Parent-Teacher Interviews – Tuesday, 1st of July
We look forward to welcoming all parents to the school this Tuesday for Parent-Teacher interviews. Please arrive on time to ensure each appointment runs smoothly.
As a reminder, student reports are available on Compass from Monday. We encourage you to read your child’s report beforehand so you can make the most of your time with their teacher and discuss your child’s progress.
Online – Using computers at home
I know that the online environment is very engaging for all and in particular for children. It is important that families are aware of what platforms their children are accessing and what information they are being exposed to. We are finding that children get into online chats and speak to each other in very unkind and inappropriate ways. This is a great concern and has a significant impact on individual students and friendship groups outside and in school. We have had to follow up a number of incidents which are concerning and find that many of the parents are not aware of and are very shocked when they see what their children are saying online.
Please read the information from Ms. Scott in the Assistant Principal section of the newsletter for more information.
End of Term Reminder:
Term 2 will finish on Friday, 4th of July, with an early dismissal at 2:30pm.
School will resume for Term 3 on Monday, 21st of July.
Kind Regards,
