Footy Day
Next Thursday is Footy Day. Students are invited to come dressed in their team colours. It is not just a day to celebrate AFL. All codes are being celebrated and will be included in the parade. The Parade will commence at 9:05 am on the assembly court. We’d love to see you there!
Our awesome PFA have been busy organising a special lunch for students who ordered by September 10th. Thank you to the wonderful team of people who are organising this before the day and to the people who will be working in the kitchen to prepare, pack and serve the lunches for our students on the day. We appreciate you giving up your time to put this on for our students. We know that the students are also very grateful to you for treating them to them to a special lunch.
Early dismissal next Friday
Next Friday is the last day of term 3. It feels like this term has flown by. Students in Prep to year 2 will be dismissed from their classrooms at 2:30pm following an early assembly. Students in year 3-6 will be dismissed at 2:30 pm from the assembly court. The assembly will commence at 2:10pm. Once again, we’d love to see you there.
Division Athletics
A large group of our students represented our school on Monday at the Division competition at Meadowglen stadium. All our athletes put 100% effort into their events. We have 4 students who have progressed to regional level, and we wish them the best in their next round of competition. It was very pleasing once again to hear that our students displayed our school CARE values at the event.
Sexual Education
Our year 5/ 6 students have had 2 sessions of sexual health education so far and have their last session next Tuesday. Sex Education Australia have been delivering the sessions. They also offered a parent information session before the program commenced for students that was well attended. It has been wonderful to see our students so engaged in the sessions and to observe the learning that is taking place.
ENPS Staff Shout Out
I would like to acknowledge the wonderful staff that contribute to our school and make it the amazing place that it is. Without our fabulous and highly skilled teachers and support staff working in and alongside classrooms, our school would be a very different space. The specialist teachers and Helen, our Library Tech, provide our students with an amazing variety of learning experiences in their specialty area. Amanda Theodore and Janine Tucker working in our student wellbeing space are outstanding and the supports that they offer to staff, students and families is something that we are very fortunate to have. Our OSHC staff provide a stimulating and fun program before and after school with a team of enthusiastic staff led by Nikki Cadee. Our office staff are super-skilled multitaskers who make the magic happen in administration and in the first aid room. Joe our IT tech, keeps us all connected and it goes without saying that Darren is worth his weight in gold! I am also very thankful for our leadership team that includes our middle leaders and Assistant Principals. The dedication and diligent efforts of all our staff make our school a great place to be!
Wishing all our families a lovely weekend and hope that you get to make it to the Diamond Creek Town Fair on Saturday!
