The Greatest Shave

The Year 7, 8 & 9 Captains planned the Greatest Shave, an event the school ran on the 5th of September at lunchtime, outside in C-Block. The point of this fundraiser was to raise awareness of Lukemia and other blood cancers, and for the NHS community to contribute funds towards The Lukemia Foundation. Students were piling on top of each other to see the incredible sights of our wonderful volunteers (including brave students and teachers) getting their heads shaved. Some highlights of the event were the sold-out bake sale, funky music (organised by our Performing Arts Captains) and the amazing engagement we had from the crowd! 

Not only did we raise the spirits of the NHS community, but we also raised over double our initial fundraising goal with the total raised, $10,406! Thank you so very much to everyone who participated, whether you donated, shaved or came along on the day!
