Happy Father's Day!
This Sunday we celebrate all the dads, grandfathers, carers and special people in our lives. We give thanks for the love, guidance and care you show every day. We hope our students enjoy celebrating with the special people who mean the most to them this Father’s Day.
Loving God,
We give thanks for all fathers and father-figures in our lives. Thank You for the love, guidance, and care they show each day. Bless them with joy and peace and may they always know how deeply they are loved by You. Strengthen their hands, guide their steps, and fill them with Your wisdom, so that they may continue to be a blessing to their families and communities.
Amen
Catholic Schools Athletics Carnival
Today (after a postponement), a group of our students (from grade 3 to 6) will proudly represent St Kilian’s at the Catholic Schools Athletics Carnival, held at the LaTrobe Athletics Track. We wish all our athletes the very best of luck and hope they enjoy this exciting experience.
St Kilian’s Debutante Balls
On Friday and Saturday evening, we celebrated the annual St Kilian’s Debutante Balls. The St Kilian’s Hall was transformed into a beautiful space for our debutantes, their partners, families, and friends to enjoy such a special occasion.
The Deb Ball Committee worked tirelessly in preparation for these events, and we sincerely thank and congratulate them for their commitment and hard work. We are also grateful to the many parents, friends, and former students who assisted with setting up and packing away equipment and furniture, your contributions made a big difference and were greatly appreciated.
We encourage parents and friends to continue supporting this wonderful tradition next year. If you would like to be involved, please contact the committee via stkiliansdebball@gmail.com to join or to find out how you might assist.
The St Kilian’s Debutante Ball remains one of the most prestigious and anticipated events on our school calendar. It is a joyful celebration that brings together family and friends in honour of the elegance and achievements of our debutantes and their partners.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to the official party, the profile readers, the MCs, and the volunteers across both evenings, whose efforts helped make the events such a memorable success.
Teacher Aide Appreciation Week
This week we celebrate Teacher Aide Appreciation Week, a special time to say thank you to our wonderful teacher aides, also known as Learning Support Officers (LSOs).
Our teacher aides work alongside teachers to support students in their learning, both in the classroom and around the school. They assist with small groups, individual support, activities and most importantly, they help ensure that every child feels safe, included, and valued.
Teacher aides are an important part of our school community. They make a difference every day by helping students do their best and by creating a kinder, more caring school environment.
We also take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank all the other staff who contribute so much to our school, our office team, maintenance staff, uniform shop and tuckshop helpers. We are truly grateful for everything you do.
Prep Farm Excursion
Our Prep students had a fantastic day out on their farm excursion! The children loved getting hands-on with so many new experiences from milking a cow, enjoying pony rides, taking a tractor ride, feeding the sheep, goats and ducks, planting a seed, and even cuddling some very cute baby animals.
It was a wonderful day of learning, laughter and adventure, and a memory our Preps will treasure! A big thank you to the staff and parent helpers who assisted on the day, your support made this special experience possible.

The Book Fair is a great opportunity for students and families to purchase some great books for reading at discounted prices. This annual event provides a commission for our school which then enables the purchase of more books for the school library.

2026 Students

To assist with this process, if you know your child (in Grade Prep to 5) will be leaving St Kilian’s School at the end of the year, except the graduating Grade 6 class, could you please inform me via email or a letter of your intentions as soon as possible. By doing this, it will assist in organising staffing and class numbers for the 2026 school year. I thank you for your assistance, in advance, for the parents who this applies
