Earlier this term Brainstorm Productions attended CESC to present 'The Flipside' to our Year 7 Cohort. This performance highlights the importance of personal responsibility, empathy, respect and resilience in the online world.
When bullying is used to wield power, Jack and Ella realise they must create an ethical roadmap to navigate the online world. When people post words, images and videos, how will they be received? What will be the consequences? And who will speak up?
The Flipside sparks conversations about what is humorous, toxic, private, humiliating, informative, safe or appropriate online. The performance encourages students to think critically about their online values and behaviour and provides strategies for empathy, resilience, help-seeking and positive bystander behaviour.
During Week 8, we invited our top performing Year 7's on a day out to Enchanted Maze Garden in Dromana. Students were invited based on their consistent performance throughout the year. We hope that those in attendance appreciated the time spent with peers and staff.
Throughout Term 3 we celebrated student success during our celebration assemblies. These assemblies recognise the hard work of our students throughout the term, Students were celebrated for the following:
GPA Growth
We continue to encourage our students to make positive choices and demonstrate College Values as we move into Term 4.
We also acknowledged out Year Level Leader award winners, these students demonstrated College Values of Respect, Growth, Achievement and Responsibility throughout the term. Congratulations to our Term 3 Winners:
