Student Wellbeing

Spring is definitely in the air this week! As we approach the holiday break, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our students for their contributions in all aspects of school life this term. It has been a jam packed term of events!

Wishing our Year 12 students the very best in their practice exams during the break. Year 12 is a time of immense growth, challenge and opportunity, and we know that you have been working incredibly hard to get to this point. Good luck to all of you!

R U OK? Day

A conversation can change a life

R U Ok? Inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and start a conversation with those in their world who may be struggling.

You don’t need to be an expert to reach out - just a good friend and a great listener.

Use these four steps and have a conversation that could change a life:

  1. Ask R U OK?
  2. Listen
  3. Encourage action
  4. Check in

To acknowledge the day, our students wore a splash of yellow and participated in activities to raise awareness around connecting with one another. Thank you to our Year 12 students for leading the way, shining bright in their minion costumes (complete with their very own Despicable Leader 'Gru' - VCE Coordintor, Mr Nathan Beck) and selling cupcakes.

As we transition into Term 4 and warmer weather, I would like to draw your attention to our Sun Protection Policy. The College is committed to providing a safe working environment for all our students, workers and visitors.

All students require the school hat as part of their uniform in Term 1 and Term 4. Students who do not have an appropriate sun protective hat will be asked to stay in shaded areas. We ask for your support in ensuring your student has a hat.

We wish all of our students, families and staff a relaxing and safe holiday break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday 6 October.
