School Council Report

School Council held the first meeting for Term 4 on Wednesday 29 October 2025. 

A summary of discussion points are as follows:

• School Uniform Policy – scheduled for review

School uniform policy review will commence consultation during the course of Term 4. Initially student executive will seek feedback from students on uniform items that should be considered for change/amendment. This will enable items to be considered for sampling and wider consideration of the teaching staff and families and then presentation of a revised Uniform Policy for School Council to consider and approve.

• School Review

MBSC is scheduled for review in the coming weeks. Information has been collated and submitted into the Department of Education portal by the Principal in preparation for Education Department representatives visiting the school in mid to late November. The reviewers will meet with a number of people over the course of the review which will include seeking feedback from parents. Information relating to this parent forum will be posted in the school newsletter.

• Presentation Evening – save the date

The MBSC Presentation Evening is set for Thursday 18 December.  We look forward to students and their families along with the teachers attending to recognise and celebrate the achievements of 2025.

• Parent Engagement Working Party

A working party will be formed in the near future to explore ways to strengthen parent engagement with the school and identify opportunities for improvement, and explore opportunities for communication between school, families and the broader community. If you have an interest in being a representative on this working group please contact the office to register your interest.
