In Maths, the students have been learning about capacity. They have worked with informal and formal units of measurement such as millilitres and litres and have compared the capacities of containers. Students also continued to develop their knowledge in recognising the role of a zero in place value notation. They have worked with partitioning, rearranging and regrouping two and three digit numbers.

Our Writing lessons this fortnight have focused on comparing how authors use and convey tone to engage readers. The children have been working on creating their own minibeast character and planning a story about their minibeast's adventure.
In our 'Friendology' lessons students have explored aspects of respect in friendships. They have also recognised that every friendship is different.
Our Inquiry lessons have further developed the students knowledge of minibeasts. There has been a particular focus on habitats of minibeasts and the role of minibeasts in food chains.
