Welcome!

We have had a great week in Foundation with our exciting Myuna Farm excursion and the beginning of our Footsteps dance program! The students enjoyed learning about what types of animals live on the farm as well as what they need in their habitats. We look forward to going to the Zoo and seeing what animals live there as well!

FOOTSTEPS DANCE PROGRAM

This week students took part in their first session of the Footsteps dance program. They had a great time learning different moves and how to keep in time with the music. This program will run for 4 more weeks and takes place every Wednesday morning. The program covers the Dance component of the Physical Education curriculum, with the students learning new fun and engaging dances each week!

AFTER SCHOOL PICKUP

If a child is being picked up  after school by another trusted adult please ensure you email their classroom teacher so that they are aware. Teachers cannot let students leave with unfamiliar adults without prior communication due to safety concerns. If possible, please also have a chat with your child to ensure they know who is picking them up.

LONG WEEKEND

We hope you all have a lovely extended break during the long weekend! Students will only be at school for 3 days during this week, OSHC is available for those that need to access it on the Monday. The Tuesday is a public holiday so OSHC will be unavailable. Please look on the school website if you would like more information.

UNIFORM REMINDER

As the weather warms up in Term 4, please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the changing temperatures. Longer layers under uniform can be worn in the morning while it's still chilly, but please encourage your child to remove them as the weather warms up during the day to avoid overheating. All clothes must still be uniform and follow the school uniform policy. As we are beginning to see sunnier days, it is also important that students come to school with a full water bottle, their hat and sunscreen.

PACKED SNACK AND LUNCH

Please ensure you are packing enough food into your child's lunch box each day. We have had a few students saying they are still hungry after eating what was packed for them. It is a good idea to have a chat with your children to see if more food needs to be packed each day to prevents students feeling hungry after lunch. Please also ensure that cutlery is packed in their lunch box if they require it.

Thank you for your assistance with this.

DROPPING OFF REMINDER

If you need to drop anything off to school for your child (lunch, hat, jacket etc.) please ensure you go to the office and drop off your items there. They will then be delivered to the classroom. We have had a number of parents dropping things off and going straight into the corridor/to students bags. As it is during the school day, parents coming into the school are required to report to the office first unless arranged otherwise.
