2026 Captaincy Application Speeches

The speech component of the captaincy applications has now taken place. Our teachers and Principal Team are incredibly proud of every applicant; the quality of the speeches was outstanding and students shared many thoughtful ideas. The Year 5 team congratulates all students who applied for their effort and courage. Successful applicants will be announced later in the term.

Interrelate Program

Students have completed the first of three Inter-relate sessions. They engaged respectfully and enthusiastically throughout, and we are proud of the thoughtful way they approached the learning. We encourage families to continue these conversations at home to build on the work happening in class. The program will run over the next two Thursdays, with each session building on the last.

Helping Hands for the 2026 Foundation Students

Our Year 5 students have continued to support the 2026 Foundation Transition mornings. 5CB and 5DW have excitedly welcomed VPS’s newest additions, with 5KY eagerly awaiting their turn in week 6. These mornings are a highlight for both our Year 5 helpers and the 2026 Foundation students, who this week got their first taste of specialist classes.
