T-Ball Opportunity

Over the past two weeks, our Grade 3 and 4 students have been enjoying softball sessions with Mel through the Sporting Schools program. Students have been practising batting, throwing, catching and learning how to work together as a team — and the excitement has been fantastic!

Softball is one of the interschool sports offered at Newlands in Years 5 and 6, so this program is giving our students a great head start.

If your child is loving softball (or would simply like to try something new), there is a great local opportunity to continue playing outside of school. The West Coburg Redbacks are welcoming all players — beginners or experienced — to join their T-Ball program.

Everyone is encouraged to have a go, regardless of skill level, experience, or whether they’ve played before!
