From the 1st to the 3rd of November all year 9 classes attended the Melbourne Holocaust Museum in Elsternwick. This was a preparatory excursion for our Year 9 History unit in which students will study the Holocaust, 1933-1945.

Students were able to analyse primary sources and artifacts, talk to experts in the field of study, and ask a Holocaust survivor questions about their experiences.

The focus of the excursion was to view the victims and survivors as individuals, with their own lives and stories, while also understanding the conditions and decisions that allowed the Holocaust to occur.
