Leader in Me - In action..

This week the students at Holy Family have begun their Leadership journey for 2024. Year 6 peers have shared their experiences and wisdom with the Year 5 cohort in preparation for the upcoming change in Student Leadership.

The process has begun this week with written applications, speeches and interviews with Mrs Dinale and Mrs Edwards for the 4 x School Leaders for 2024. We witnessed spectacular courage, clarity and charisma through our Students' Voice and a true demonstration of future leadership.

We know that moving forward Holy Family will be in good hands and we will have a seamless transition into 2024.

At Holy Family we believe that each and every student is a leader and everyone has unique qualities and gifts which all come together to make Holy Family great.

Honouring student contributions is a Win-Win. Students feel valued and engaged and our whole school community benefits from their growth.

How can we do this?

-  Encourage students to reflect on and celebrate leadership in themselves and others.

- Collaboratively imagine new leadership roles based on classroom and school needs.

- Ask students how they might share their unique gifts and talents with others in their classroom, school, or community.

- Give students a seat at the table for important conversations.

- A chorus is more powerful than a single voice when it comes to honouring student contributions!
