Vinnies Christmas Hampers

The greatest joy you can give families this Christmas is food on their tables.

The Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic organisation (Vinnies) provides support to people in need. This year, Vinnies is focusing on the ongoing impacts of the cost-of-living crisis which has seen already vulnerable people pushed into poverty with barely anything to hold on to and facing the brink of homelessness.

In the true spirit of Christmas, we invite all families in our school community to bring joy and hope to our brothers and sisters in need by donating items of food that will contribute to food hampers to be distributed at Christmas time.

We thank the students in Years 5 & 6 who are taking the lead in this initiative and they are asking for our help to fill the hampers with goodies.

Please note the following items they are requesting from each student:

Kindergarten: Christmas cake or pudding (Family size)

Year 1: 1 kg tin of ham (Family size)

Year 2 and Year 4: 1 box of bon-bons (crackers)

Year 3: 1 jar of instant coffee

Please send your family’s contribution to the hampers to school with your child. There will be tubs in each of their classrooms where these items can be placed.

We thank you in anticipation of your generosity towards the 2023 Vinnies Christmas Appeal.
