SRC Captain's Welcome and Year 11 Dinner Dance
I am deeply honoured to have been elected as the new Student Representative Council Captain for 2024, chairing one of the largest Student Councils in many years. We would like to congratulate and welcome the following students who have elected to participate in the SRC for the 2023-2024 sitting; a testament to a great enthusiasm and dedication from our student body that I am very grateful for:
This is a promising start to our leadership journey, and I am very excited for all of us to come together, listen, and collaborate on ideas to foster a more vibrant and inclusive school community!
Departing Members
We extend our thanks and best wishes to Sarah Abood (Year 11), Francis Alfonso (Year 8), Michael Jacob (Year 9), Emilio Lazaro (Year 9), Rosemarie Sabado (Year 11) and Nicole Villanueva (Year 9) as they depart the SRC for other pursuits. We have valued your ideas and contributions on many events and working parties where you have made a great positive impact.
At the end of Term 3, the SRC Dinner Dance Committee coordinated an exceptional social event for the Year 11 students. On Thursday, 21 September, students put on their finest outfits and celebrated the end of term with dinner and dancing at the South of Perth Yacht Club.
The Dinner Dance Committee 2023 shared their thoughts on the evening:
“The Year 11 Dinner Dance was truly amazing. From the food to the thrilling dance competitions, every aspect of the event was carefully planned and flawlessly executed. Cassie Best (Year 12) and Daniel Samura's (Year 9) dance performances elevated the entire evening, leaving everyone in awe and forging lasting memories that will be cherished for years to come. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ms Megan Silva for her impeccable organization, Ms Cynthia Villarosa for her dance lessons, and all the teachers who attended for making the night truly special. Overall, it was a night that reminded us of the beauty of celebration and the joy of coming together as a group.”
