Year 10 Work Experience

Gaining invaluable, practical experience and a taste of what work looks and feels like in various and specific fields, School of Possibility Year 10 students have been very busy this week completing their work placements.

Work experience provides students with the opportunity to explore possible career opportunities and pathways. They can begin to think about their future beyond school and pathway requirements to help shape their subject selections for their senior school certificates, whether that be VCE, VCE VM, VET certificates and SBATS. It also enables students to engage with local businesses, some even walking away with job opportunities, apprenticeships, and casual employment.  

After earning a well-deserved break in the holidays, we will look forward to sharing the students’ reflections and experiences about their work placements in the subsequent edition of il giornale.

GOTAFE applications now open

Year 10 (Year 11, 2024) GOTAFE applications are now open.  Those students who have expressed their interest in studying a VET course through GOTAFE during careers conversations, have received the application link via email.  Please ensure you check both your inbox and junk/spam folders if you have missed it.  Please make sure you get these expressions of interest completed ASAP as places are limited and fill up fast.
