Principal's Desk

Dear Parents,

Much fun and frivolity was enjoyed by all at our recent school production on all accounts.  While I was unable to attend, the feedback from staff, students and families has been very heartfelt and congratulatory.  Many people have reached out to share their thanks and appreciation to both Signora Formichelli and all the teachers and to share how wonderful it was to see their children enjoy performing so much.  It is during events such as these, when we stop and pause for a moment and see the smile on our children’s faces, that we feel a sense of gratitude at being part of a warm and joyous school community such as ours.

I too would like to add my voice to the many, and say another huge thank you to Josie Formichelli and her band of merry helpers, together with the staff and students of Holy Trinity.  What an enormous effort!  Thank you Josie for all your efforts and for your creative vision which ensures year on year an amazing experience for our students.

MACSSIS Surveys

Coming up next week is another way that you are able to participate in the life of the school. A significant and formal way that we as a school, engage and gather data is through MACSSIS, the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools – School Improvement Surveys.

MACSSIS is a set of annual surveys that have been built specifically for Catholic schools in Melbourne and we are inviting all families to participate along with the staff and students in grade 4 to 6.

One of the main goals of the family survey is to identify the strengths and areas for improvement in our school. MACSSIS data benefits everyone within our school and provides valuable community insights on areas that each school can focus on. Our school believes it is important to encourage families to have a voice and contribute to shaping the ongoing improvement of the school.

The survey is available online, can be accessed from Monday 28 August and needs to be completed by Friday 15 September 2022. This survey may only be completed once.

For families with more than one child attending our school, we ask that you focus on the eldest child attending the school when completing the survey. The school has invited many families to respond via this survey and participation is completely voluntary. There are no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ answers – all responses are completely anonymous and at no point are any of the responses from students, families or staff identifiable by the school.

Further details will be sent to you shortly with login details and information on how to access the surveys.  Last year we had an amazing number of families complete this survey which added to the reliability of the data we collected.  It would be great if we were able to have even more families participate this year. Thank you in advance for your help in completing these surveys.
