Seeking Expressions of Interest for the 2025 ADHD Program

Did you know Wantirna College offers an ADHD Program? This affirmative, strengths-based program is run by neurodivergent staff and designed to support students with any subtype of ADHD, including hyperactive, inattentive, and combined presentations.

 

This strengths-based program aims to help students build essential academic, social, and wellbeing skills, supporting a smooth transition through their schooling years and providing valuable tools for future success. Sessions will take place once a fortnight and will include psychoeducation alongside peer support, using evidence-based resources.

 

The program includes the following focus areas:

  • Adaptive Thinking and Resilience
  • Conflict Resolution, Empathy, and Communication
  • Emotion Regulation
  • Anger Management
  • Memory, Reminders, and Routines
  • Time Management
  • Hyperfocus

  • Habit Stacking
  • Radical Acceptance
  • Self-Esteem
  • Managing Over and Under Stimulation
  • Achieving Balance and Managing Neurodivergent Burnout
  • Study Techniques (organization, environment, focus, and association)
