Connect Crew

What an incredible Term it has been for our Connect Crew! We are immensely proud of the hard work and achievements of our students as they continue to make a lasting and positive impact on both our school and the wider community.

VM Garden Acknowledgement Lunch

This Wednesday, we hosted a special lunch in the VM garden to recognise the amazing efforts of our Connect Crew. Mr. Darren Hoogkamer delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the dedication and teamwork of the students. Their efforts have transformed the VM garden into a beautiful space for senior students. A special thank you goes out to VM students Poppy and Annabelle for involving the Connect Crew in this wonderful initiative. It’s inspiring to see such strong connections being formed across the school – well done to everyone involved!

Pizza Reward Lunch

As a well-deserved reward for their hard work, our students enjoyed a pizza lunch on Thursday. After a busy term of maintaining the school grounds, this is a small but delicious way to show our appreciation. A huge thank you to the Connect Crew for all their efforts!

Gardening and Maintenance Projects

The Connect Crew has been busy with a variety of projects this term. From maintaining the VM garden to general clean-ups around the school, the team has worked tirelessly to keep our grounds looking their best. One major highlight was the completion of the stairs project, which has not only improved the look of our school but also enhanced safety. The students have also started sanding and re-staining the seating around the school, giving them a fresh, new look. Through these projects, the crew has built strong relationships with VM students, demonstrating the power of teamwork and collaboration.

Holiday Foodbank Donations

As we approach the holidays, we are calling on our school community to help support those in need. If you have any non-perishable or long-life food items to donate, please bring them to Mason House during the first week of Term 4. We encourage families and friends to spend a little time over the holidays gathering these items as a meaningful way to make a difference. All donations will go directly to Foodbank, supporting vulnerable families in our area. Donations can be left next to the fish tank in Mason House, and the Connect Crew will ensure they’re delivered during their first visit back. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

A Special Thank You to Fertool Australia!

A huge thank you to Fertool Australia, a leading horticultural distributor based in Wantirna, for recognising the hard work of our Connect Crew and generously donating two fantastic hampers for our gardens. These hampers will help us continue our efforts to maintain and improve the school grounds. We are thrilled to see our students building meaningful connections with the wider community.
