It’s hard to believe that this is my last term of primary school. I’m happy and sad about leaving DPS. In the words of one of the school captains from last year, “It is a bittersweet moment.” I am excited to go to high school but I’m also really sad about leaving the primary school that I have been in for almost 7 years. From Prep to Year 6 now. A thing that I am also excited about celebrating is graduation. Graduation is going to be on the 2nd of December, everyday I think about Graduation excited about celebrating our times at DPS. I know Graduation will be a day I will never forget. I know Term 4 will be one of the best terms I will ever experience. Goodbye and I hope you have a great day!

Term 4 so far is spectacular! We had the opportunity to participate in a two week Dance Curriculum program where we had two amazing dancers Jarre and Dean come and teach us our graduation dance! It was so fun learning new things that I wasn’t so comfortable with. Overall the dance was very enjoyable and I can’t wait to perform it with my best friends. I am also really looking forward to graduation near the end of the term. I am so excited to see all my friends dressed up and spending time with them out of school. I am so sad that the term has already gone so fast as soon as it will probably be the end of the year. I hope there will be more activities to do for the remainder of our last term of Grade 6.

It has already been three quarters of the year and 4 weeks of term 3. We have been discussing graduation and our wonderful teachers have already planned everything for us. Graduation will be held at the Manningham Civic Centre on December 2nd. Now that I think about it I can’t believe how close it is. I am so excited to eat, dance and spend time with my friends. Speaking of dance, for the first 2 weeks of term we had amazing dance teachers Jarre and Dean come to our school and teach us our graduation dance which we have to present to our parents. We learnt two different dances - one for the whole of grade 6 and one for partner dancing. We practised for two weeks straight for 45 minutes everyday. Now, we practise every Monday perfecting each move, especially the canon. The Grade 6 cohort and I are ready to perform the amazing dance at graduation. Thank you to the teachers again for helping us arrange graduation and making this the most memorable experience ever!

We are halfway through our last term of DPS and so far this term has been memorable for all grades for many reasons. The grade sixes have recently completed their two week long dance curriculum where they were learning a hip hop dance to perform at the graduation ceremony.
The grade sixes have been working hard to polish and perfect all of their moves. A big thank you to the incredible dance instructors who were Dean and Jarre as they taught us the amazing hip hop dance that we have been working on.
The grade six cohort will be performing this dance at the graduation ceremony to honour our journey to highschool. It will be held on the 2nd of December and there will be a party for everyone there. We will get one meal and there will be an awards ceremony to celebrate all of the achievements of year six. However, we still have a whole half term left of primary school and we want to end the year with a bang!
Have a great week everyone!!
