Social Media Age Limit Survey
The Victorian Government is working with other states and the Commonwealth to introduce age limits for social media - to protect children from harm and support families to keep children safe online. The government wants to know about your experience either:
- as a child or young person who uses social media
- as a parent or carer whose child uses social media
- as a school staff member who has contact with children who use social media
- as a member of the general public
How to participate
You are invited to share your opinions by:
- Completing the survey using this link engage.vic.gov.au/safesocials
- Providing feedback on behalf of a group, by organising a group conversation
This consultation will close at 5pm on 1 November 2024.
Next steps
The information submitted will be collated and used to inform the Victorian Government’s contribution to national reforms on social media age limits, ensuring that the diverse needs and experiences of Victorians affected by these changes are considered.
