Foundation and Year 1

This is going to be a big term with so many exciting things to look forward to in our F/1 classroom, like the Fair and our Melbourne Zoo excursion.

Firstly we welcomed a new student into our Grade 1 class. Remy has settled in and is being gently helped with this by all of our class members.

In our class work this week we have looked at the etymology of the word ‘nocturnal’, worked on our sharing and division work and begun our learning about the environment in and around Castlemaine. We have also been preparing for the fair and our plant stall and in Religion we began to consider how Jesus’ followers care for each other and the earth.

Miss Marian came to sing with us too.
