Holiday Reading

There are new books arriving next week from our book supplier for students to borrow over the holiday period.  Check out our New Books display for these titles. 

The Library recently acquired Graphic Novel sets – Spy Family and Komi Can’t Communicate, requested by students and proving to be extremely popular with junior school students.  

The library is continuing to take student book requests throughout term 4.

Book Club

This term book clubbers chose three very distinctive books to read:  Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy ;  Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children ;   Umbrella Academy #1 Apocalypse Suite.  Students chose from those books they wanted to read and critiqued the merits of each in lively discussion. 

Next term students will be reading the classic Picture of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde and a couple of other books yet to be decided. Tentative Book Club dates in Term 4 are Wednesday 16 October and Wednesday 4 December.  Students are welcome to drop by the library or email library@mgsc.vic.edu.au at any time with details of their name and class to join. 

Lunchtime Clubs in the Library

There is something for everyone here.  Clubs meet every week in the library Seminar Room at lunchtime to create, learn, relax, share ideas and play.  All students are welcome.

• Thursday -  Philosophy Club

The Library team
