Music News

What a way to end a term!

Junior Performing Arts Night was an outstanding showcase of the Music, Dance, and Drama talents from our curriculum classes. A huge congratulations goes out to the Music, Dance, and Drama curriculum teachers for all their hard work and commitment to the students.

All the students performed magnificently, with a special mention to the Year 4 Band, who opened the showcase with the “Overture to Wonderland,” composed and arranged by Mr Cosentino.

Congratulations to our HSC Music students for their performances at the HSC Drama and Music Showcase evening. Their performances were outstanding and received valuable feedback in preparation for their Trial HSC examinations next term. Additionally, congratulations to our Elective Music classes in Years 9, 10, and 11, who also performed. These performances highlighted their ensemble skills and provided an opportunity to see what they are working towards.

This week, our Elective Music students (Years 9 to 12) will venture to the City Recital Hall to attend a live performance of Handel’s Water Music by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. These opportunities enrich our students’ cultural experiences, allowing them to enjoy live music in one of Sydney’s premier performance venues.

Over the break, our HSC Music students will work with their classroom teachers, professional accompanists, and ensembles to refine their performances in preparation for their Trial Examinations and HSC External examinations next term. Thank you to the staff who are taking time out of their holidays to support our HSC students.

Have a lovely break, and enjoy time with your family and friends, filled with live music.
