From the Head of Teaching and Learning

Mrs Jasmin Mano

Term 2 notoriously draws to a close faster than we often expect it too. Maybe it’s a tendency to make the most of the shorter Winter daylight hours that makes it seem so speedy, but nonetheless here we are. Reflecting on the semester, there is just so much momentum in our HEROIC learning model that we are so pleased with. From our younger students enjoying the experience of being taught in tailored groupings in Numeracy and Literacy (HEROIC Headways), by teachers from ‘BIG’ school, to our Year 8 and 10 students making ‘HEROIC’ decisions about their future career paths, and of course the learning that our dedicated teachers are committed to regularly, every Tuesday morning in the Junior School and every Wednesday afternoon for all, to ensure that we are always at the fore of innovative learning experiences that stay true to our Twin Schooling structure, Deep Learning pedagogy and well-rounded offerings. There is much to celebrate.

As part of our 2024 commitment to Literacy and Numeracy, it is with much enthusiasm that I take this opportunity to remind all our parents and carers of the gamut of activities on offer when we return from the Winter recess, to celebrate our HEROIC Literacy and Numeracy Festival.
