100 Days of Prep!

We're looking forward to the celebration of the milestone of 100 days at school for our Prep students next Monday, 29 August. As part of their celebrations, Preps are ecouraged to come to school dressed as if they were 100 years old. 

Police Incursion

Our Monash Youth Resource Officer/School’s Police Liaison Officer will visit our Preps at school next Wednesday, 31 July. This incursion has been rescheduled from last term. 

Melbourne Zoo Excursion

Prep students are looking forward to their excursion to Melbourne Zoo on Friday 9 August. This exciting excursion to the Zoo brings our Term 3 Integrated Unit 'Wonderful Wildlife' to life. In this fun-filled and educational day out at the Zoo, students will become wild explorers and learn how they can respect and care for animals, as well as visiting their favourite zoo animals. They will engage their senses and exercise their inquiring minds to learn about what makes animals special and uncover animals' features, habitats, life cycles and what they need to survive. By the end of their mission into the wild, students will understand how special our animals are, how to care for them, the environment and how they can contribute to a sustainable future. Students will continue to learn: 

  • How to respect and care for animals. 
  • The unique features and needs of various animal species. 
  • How animals grow and change. 

Excursion information has been published on Compass. Consent and payment are due now and not later than Thursday 1 August. 

Swimming Program

The compulsory swimming program for Prep students is in weeks 9 and 10 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from Wednesday 11 September to Friday 20 September (this is subject to confirmation). Students will attend a 45 minute session at the Huntingtower Sports and Aquatic Centre (HSAC) Swim School in Mount Waverley. 

Program details will be published soon on Compass. 

Parent volunteers from each class are required to assist children get ready to return to school. If you hold a current Working with Children Check, please let your child's teacher you're interested and available.
