Principal's Message
Student reports and parent teacher meetings
I want to thank our teachers for the Semester 1 reports which provide you with a detailed overview of your child’s learning achievement. These reports are based on a wide range of formal and informal assessments and reflect the rich learning program that is offered at Mount View Primary School. I am proud of your children’s achievements and am grateful to our teachers and education support staff for their care and commitment to the learning and wellbeing of our students.
The first of our parent teacher meetings were held for some classes this week and these will continue at the start of next term. These important meetings allow families and teachers to discuss students’ strengths and areas for improvement and growth. We value these opportunities to work in partnership with families to support students' learning and wellbeing.

Celebrating our students
We have much to be proud of at Mount View Primary School and it has been exciting to watch our students excel in the recent LanguageNut global community. I am proud to say that they finished the competition in first place after working hard throughout the month of June. Our language teachers have been encouraging students to do their best at school and at home- our students have shown perseverance and commitment and I am very proud.
Our students participate in a number of activities outside of school and I’d like to acknowledge the following students for their recent achievements:
Aansh P 6DT
Aansh is a keen cricket player and he has recently progressed to the third round of the selection process for the U12 Team Vic Cricket team. Aansh is representing our school with pride through this rewarding and challenging process.
Eva S 6CM
Eva has been selected to represent Team Vic in the U12 girls Australian Football team for 2024. Selection at this level is a significant achievement and recognises Eva’s skills, talent and dedication.
Lucas Z 4JW
Lucas participated in the 70th Annual Ringwood Eisteddfod Piano Competition last Sunday 9th June, for the AMEB Grades 5/6 section, and emerged as 1st place winner among 25 competitors.
I Invite you to share student achievements outside of school with me via mount.view.ps@education.vic.gov.au . Please provide a brief description of the activity and include a photo if this is suitable.
