Resilience, Rights & Respectful Relationships

In Respectful Relations, 3/4 Harris have been learning about ‘Positive Coping’ and how everyone is unique and different.

This week we played the everyone is different game. This game required the students to sit in a circle and move to a different spot if the category announced applied to them. We played this game a few times and the students also had the opportunity to make their own calls on some of the categories announced. These were some of the calls made by the students: stand up and move if you like tennis, stand up and move if you like video games, stand up and move if you don’t like pizza and stand up and move if you have a dog.

After we had played the game a few times as a class we discussed the key message behind the game and the importance of making sure everyone feels welcome and accepted within our class, no matter our differences.

The Premiers Reading Challenge will conclude on the 6th of September, so we have 45 days left!

A reflection from Term 2...

Students were delighted to receive their Level 2 Whole School Reward at the end of last term. The 'Chipnic' was once again 'the best day ever' for some of our students at school. There were plenty of smiles and excitement throughout the day. We love seeing our students enjoy working together to achieve these special rewards each term.

Term 3

Keep an eye out at assembly this week as we will be announcing our Term 3 - Level 1 and 2 Whole School rewards. All classrooms have had input and were able to vote on their top choices.

Eat Up at Our School

We're fortunate to have the support of Eat Up Australia, providing sandwiches to students in need. Eat Up tirelessly fundraises to make this possible. If you, your workplace, or anyone you know can contribute to Eat Up, please reach out to us at community@eatup.org.au. Eat Up is currently seeking donations of bread, cheese, fruit, and snacks. Perhaps you know a local business that could organize a Snack Drive.
