Reporting and Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Did you know…?
The Department of Education outlines that Individual Education Plans (IEPs) are required for:
- students in statutory Out-of-home Care (OOHC)
- Koorie students (as required by Marrung – Victorian Aboriginal Education Plan 2016 to 2026)
- students supported under individualised disability funding programs including the Program for Students with Disabilities (PSD) and Disability Inclusion
- students in youth justice (custody and community)
- students in re-engagement programs under contract arrangements with another school or provider
- students undertaking Flexible Learning Options (FLOs).
Our school meets these requirements by providing termly IEPs for students meeting the above criteria. Additionally, IEPs are developed through documentation outlining the recommendation of an IEP from external services.
At Miners Rest Primary School, all students receive Semester Reports as per the Victorian Curriculum Assessment Authority (VCAA) Reporting Guidelines. Above and beyond this requirement, Learning Statements are provided for all students, to ensure goals and achievements can be shared more frequently, regarding social, emotional and academic progress.
Should your child not be receiving an IEP, please be assured that individualised goals and achievements are developed, monitored and documented and shared through the Miners Rest Primary School Learning Statements, twice per year.
