Exciting Adventures in Writing: Inventing Unique Products
This week in Writing, students are diving into the world of persuasive writing by inventing and marketing their own unique products! They’ve been brainstorming innovative items they believe the world needs. The challenge? Each product must have a catchy name, a unique slogan, and clearly defined features and benefits.
Criteria for Their Inventions
Catchy Name: The name should be memorable and reflect the product's purpose. Students are encouraged to think creatively—how can they use alliteration, puns, or clever wordplay to make their product stand out?
Unique Slogan: A strong slogan captures the essence of the product in just a few words. It should be catchy and persuasive, helping potential customers understand why they need this item in their lives.
Features and Benefits: Students must clearly outline the product's features—what it does and how it works. Then, they’ll explain the benefits—why it matters and how it improves the user's life. This is where they can get creative and think about real-life applications.
