Year 5/6 Learning Reflection

This week the Grade 5/6 students have had the opportunity to develop their swimming skills at the Sunshine Leisure Centre.

During Numeracy - Grade 5/6 students have been learning about Volume and Capacity.

We have been using cubic units to find the volume of regular and irregular shapes using the formula V = L x W x H.

Next week the students will be exploring Mass. Providing some pantry items will support their learning and understanding as we investigate Mass. 

As part of our Writing work around biographies and/or autobiographies we have begun to publish.

As part of our Speaking and Listening, Grade 6 students have been preparing for and taking part in formal debates. They organised themselves into 3 groups to share their views and then appointed members for the various roles. Our topic: Let’s Ban the School Uniform.
