Indigital Success at the Melbourne Zoo!
Last week, our Indigital leaders from Grade 4, supported by a fantastic mentor from Grade 6, shone brightly at the Melbourne Zoo during the Fighting Extinction Showcase. The team delivered an outstanding presentation about our school’s innovative work on environmental sustainability, particularly focusing on our frog bog extension and micro-forest project.
They shared how we’ve been using cutting-edge technology like Minecraft and LiDAR to educate the community about local flora and fauna, linking these projects to the preservation of species like the Victorian earless dragon. Their passion and teamwork were evident as they explained how QR codes and 3D plant models are being used to inspire others to plant native species at home.
The audience was captivated by their insights and creativity, and the team received glowing feedback from zoo staff and attendees. A huge congratulations to our Indigital team for representing our school with such confidence and vision—we couldn’t be prouder!
