St Anthony’s Debating Masterclass

The St. Anthony's Debating Mentors and Masterclasses program has seen our Year 10 students embody the spirit of servant leadership as they guide and support Year 5 and 6 St Anthony’s students in developing their debating skills. Fortnightly lunchtime sessions have provided an opportunity for the younger students to practice public speaking, refine their arguments, and build confidence. The highlight of this mentoring was an afternoon masterclass featuring rotational sessions on key debating techniques such as rebuttal, speaker roles and proper etiquette. This collaborative program has not only helped foster debating excellence but also cultivated a sense of responsibility and leadership in our Year 10 mentors.
