Students studying the Arrowsmith Program recently completed their End of Year assessments. The Arrowsmith Program assessment is a suite of cognitive tests used to measure a student’s initial level of function in each cognitive area, as well as the cognitive gains made each year. The Arrowsmith staff were very pleased with the effort and application of all students during the assessments. Results will be distributed to parents in the coming weeks.

A reminder that the Arrowsmith Graduation ceremony has been moved to Friday 22 November at 11.30 am in the Conference Centre. This is always a highlight of the year and a wonderful way to farewell our graduating students.

On Tuesday 29 October, students in the Arrowsmith Program visited Artvo and O’Brien’s Icehouse in the Docklands precinct. ArtVo is a new immersive art gallery or ‘trick art’ gallery – the first of its kind in Australia. Unlike traditional art museums, visitors are encouraged to experience art through touching and interacting with the artworks, as well as photographing themselves as part of the art.

The students also visited O’Brien’s Icehouse where they participated in ice-skating. For many students, it was the first time ice-skating. It was great to see many of the students moving (and falling ) on the ice. As one of the students so aptly stated,

“I didn’t know there were so many ways to fall over. “
